Use safe steps before frozen pipes become burst pipes.
Open the faucet connected to the frozen pipe. As the pipe thaws, water needs a place to move.
Use a hair dryer, warm towels, heating pad, or space heater. Never use a torch or open flame.
If water starts leaking, shut off the main water supply immediately and get plumbing help.
